Ordinarily, park homes are used as secondary or holiday homes, unless they are residential of course, so before making your purchase, you should double check how long you can stay in your holiday home for.

At Oaklands Park, we close in February, so you can stay for 11 months of the year if you want to! However you must provide proof of your permanent residential address.

Buying a holiday home involves a similar process to that of buying a house. You can work closely with the park staff who will assist you with the buying process. You won’t physically own the land the holiday home is on, so you won’t be liable for stamp duty either.

Once you have chosen the park you want to live on, the first step you should take is speaking to the park staff. They will be able to give you more information, show you the holiday homes or plots available and advise you about the next steps to take.
